چکیده
Abstract This paper presents the depth inversion of Rayleigh wave group velocity to obtain an S-wave model from seismic ambient noise cross-correlation in western Java, Indonesia. study utilizes vertical component data a temporary seismograph network deployed 2016, which was used previous estimate fundamental mode maps. In this study, Neighborhood Algorithm applied invert velocities into 1D shear-wave ( Vs ) profiles, were then interpolated produce high-resolution, pseudo-3D model. These tomographic images extend ~ 20 km and show pronounced NE-SW contrast low high range 1–5 that correlates well with Bouguer anomaly map. We interpret northeastern part area as associated alluvial volcanic products Sunda Shelf modern arc, whereas southwestern is arc earlier episodes subduction. also obtained northern Java Basin, 5–6 km, Garut extends 5 depth. For greater depths, gradually increases throughout reflects crystalline basement. provides estimates shallow crustal structure underneath West higher resolution than studies, could be useful for supporting future earthquake studies region.

Three dimensional shear wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle beneath China from ambient noise surface wave tomography∗
We determine the three-dimensional shear wave velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle in China using Green’s functions obtained from seismic ambient noise cross-correlation. The data we use are from the China National Seismic Network, global and regional networks and PASSCAL stations in the region. We first acquire cross-correlation seismograms between all possible station pairs. We t...
متن کاملCrustal shear wave velocity structure of the western United States inferred from ambient seismic noise and earthquake data
[1] Surface wave dispersion measurements from ambient seismic noise and array‐based measurements from teleseismic earthquakes observed with the EarthScope/USArray Transportable Array (TA) are inverted using a Monte Carlo method for a 3‐D VS model of the crust and uppermost mantle beneath the western United States. The combination of data from these methods produces exceptionally broadband dispe...
متن کاملSurface wave tomography of the western United States from ambient seismic noise: Rayleigh wave group velocity maps
[1] We have applied ambient noise surface wave tomography to data that have emerged continuously from the EarthScope USArray Transportable Array (TA) between October 2004 and January 2007. Estimated Green’s functions result by cross-correlating noise records between every station-pair in the network. The 340 stations yield a total of more than 55,000 interstation paths. Within the 5to 50-s peri...
متن کاملHigh-resolution surface-wave tomography from ambient seismic noise.
Cross-correlation of 1 month of ambient seismic noise recorded at USArray stations in California yields hundreds of short-period surface-wave group-speed measurements on interstation paths. We used these measurements to construct tomographic images of the principal geological units of California, with low-speed anomalies corresponding to the main sedimentary basins and high-speed anomalies corr...
متن کاملSurface Wave Tomography of China from Ambient Seismic Noise Correlation
We perform ambient noise tomography of China using the data from the China National Seismic Network and surrounding global and regional stations. For most of the station pairs, we retrieve good Rayleigh waveforms from ambient noise correlations using 18-months of continuous data at all distance ranges across the entire region (over 5000 km) and for periods from 70 s down to about 8 s. We obtain...
